A group show featuring ambitious, original printmaking from Open Studio – Toronto’s foremost studio, gallery, and shop devoted to contemporary print.
Open Studio is an artist-run printmaking facility, gallery space, education program, and shop, located in the creative hub of 401 Richmond. It was first established in 1970, under the ethos of shared production space, collaboration and the exchange of knowledge and ideas. As Open Studio approaches its 50thanniversary, we are delighted to announce a show of contemporary printmaking created in the studios by members and visiting artists, at First Canadian Place.
Printmaking is incredibly diverse, encompassing many processes and forms, from lithography to etching, monotypes to silkscreens, woodcuts to letterpress. The works included in PRINT MATTERS offer a glimpse into the expansive medium of printmaking, and the scope of original prints created and sold through Open Studio.
