To celebrate the holiday season, musicians will perform seasonal favorites on the Concourse Level of One New York Plaza during lunchtime, December 10 through 12 from 12:30-1:30pm.
- December 10: The Creswell Club
- December 11: Metropolitan Klezmer
- December 12: The Academy Blues Project
THE CRESWELL CLUB is a constellation of musicians who specialize in music that makes life better. The group is rooted in jazz standards and music from the 1920s, but they’re experts at branching out, playing everything from swing to bossa nova, Motown to The Rat Pack, Edith Piaf to Lana Del Rey. This performance features bassist Dan Martin, saxophonist/flutist Jenny Hill and guitarist Nick Russo.
METROPOLITAN KLEZMER was named one of the finest American Klezmer bands for a reason! This holiday season, the band will give another must-see performance at One New York Plaza with inspired neo-traditional interpretations and compositions springing from a varied, eclectic Yiddish repertoire.
THE ACADEMY BLUES PROJECT (ABP) is a multi-genre quartet based in NYC – blending electric storytelling and elements of psychedelia, power pop, funk & surreal soul into an irresistibly singular sound. The band’s live shows, drawing from a diverse catalog of the band’s songs and dozens of unexpected, crate-digging covers, have never featured the same set list twice in eight years of performances. ABP’s latest records, Let’s Brunch Vol. I – III, are available digitally worldwide via the band’s own Witch Hat Recordings. New York Music Daily says “If you’re into psychedelic rock and you’re in New York right now, ABP should be at the top of your bucket list.”
