Take a frozen trip to soaring sand dunes and savannas where you might spot lions, hippos, and more! NYC-based artist collective Okamoto Studio returns to Grace Plaza to transform ordinary blocks of ice into safari animals.

Okamoto Studio is a New York-based collective best known for their design, production, and consultation of everything made of crystal clear ice. From the most delicate ice wares to life-like sculptures to live performance carvings, OOkamoto Studio delivers the perfect ice experience. Father-son Takeo and Shintaro Okamoto make up the founding core of the group, which was formed in 2003 with a mission of showcasing in the full beauty and potential of handcrafted ice. Whether it’s a diamond-patterned ice bar for a wedding, a detailed replica for a film premiere, a massive monogram for a cool Bar Mitzvah, or an elegant installation for a charity gala, custom sculpted ice by Okamoto Studio is precise, well considered, effective, and mesmerizing.
