New York, NY February 8, 2017 Netflix and chill is so last season. Beginning February 22, Arts Brookfield presents a FREE weekly film series on Wednesday evenings in the Winter Garden at Brookfield Place. One of the few free indoor film series experiences during the New York winter months, guests can enjoy comfy furniture, free popcorn and a pre-film DJ set followed by an eclectic selection of blockbuster hits and indie favorites.

The March 15 presentation is being taken to a vote! Viewers can choose their favorite at artsbrookfield.com/pictures-under-the-palms, from Wes Anderson’s coming-of-age film Moonrise Kingdom, the 2000 folk-infused, the Coen Brothers’ folk epic O Brother Where Art Thou, and Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo and Juliet starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes. The winning film will be announced at the March 8 Pictures Under the Palms screening, as well as on the Arts Brookfield and Brookfield Place websites and social media channels.
