Now in its eleventh year, the Mountain Stage NewSong Contest is one of the premier showcases of emerging performing songwriters in North America. In advance of its 2012 performance contest finals at Lincoln Center on October 20, NewSong presents “Songs in the Round,” an intimate afternoon concert featuring a trio of extraordinary performers on stage at the same time. As they take turns playing songs, a musical dialogue emerges between the different musicians and with the audience.
