This special exhibition of photographs features Italian actors and directors who appeared on the pages of
LIFE Magazine during the 1950’s, the “golden age” of Italian cinema. The actors-Loren, Mastroianni, Lollabrigida, Masina, and the directors-Rossellini, DeSica, Fellini, Antonioni, were as famous for their amazing talents as they were for their colorful private lives.
LIFE captured all of these stars in various stages of celebrity and in some cases, scandal.
In celebration of the opening of
The Sweet LIFE, the legendary downtown band Sex Mob interprets the music of the great Italian film composer Nino Rota in a special concert September 27 at 7pm.
