Growing up, Raffa Weyman spent her childhood covered in face glitter and feather boas, pretending to be Stevie Nicks as she sang along to Fleetwood Mac. Two decades later, adulthood doesn’t look much different as child star-turned-pop sensation RALPH now takes the stage.
Set against dreamy backdrops of pastels, featuring soft lighting and disco-inspired outfits, the 20-something Toronto native pairs smooth, soulful vocals with 80s-style pop. Centered around universal themes like jealousy, lust, deception, love and female friendship, Ralph’s self-titled 2017 EP evokes both strong feelings of nostalgia as well as an immediate sense of familiarity.
